AJC losing $1 million per week
It is being reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is losing $1 million per week. This could lead to the suspension of most home delivery (save maybe Friday, Saturday and Sunday) or the complete shutdown of the print version (a la The Christian Science Monitor).
Clearly a combination of the bad recession and changing times in the newspaper media. AJC news is generally very stale by the time someone gets the newspaper in the morning, since a lot of that information can be found on internet sites or on TV.
